Former Supervisory Councilor Supports Ikorodu Resource Group, ICT Development With Computers

The Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG), has received more support for the development of its ICT/CBT Hub located within the Ikorodu Town Hall, Ikorodu.

A former Supervisory Councilor for Environment, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Olawale Mutiu Animashaun, impressed by the investment in innovation by the Group when he visited the hub, donated two laptop computer sets to add to the poll already in place at the Barr. S.A.B. Oteju ICT & Innovation Hub.

He presented the set of computers during the third edition of the Most Brilliant Student Contest in Nigeria and JAMB seminar, held at the Ikorodu Hall Town on Thursday, March 28, 2024, organized by the Association of Tutorial School Operators Lagos State Chapter (ATSOLAG), Ikorodu Zone.

The Hub, which has been training many students, teachers and others since its conception last year after it was established by the Group under the leadership of Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, and commissioned recently, was initiated by the Musediq Alogba E – Library & Research Committee as a means of assisting students in Ikorodu to acquire ICT knowledge and training for Computer Based Test examinations.

Animashun, during the presentation of the computers which were received by Engr. Ibrahim Idowu, explained that the donation was his own way of supporting ICT development as champion by the IDRDG and impacting on the students.

“The donation to the ICT department of the town hall, which serves as a hub for empowering youths, was borne out of the need to support the students of Ikorodu Division, to ensure more academic learning that will aid knowledge through technology”, he said.

He urged the students to make good use of the computers provided and to take advantage of the opportunity.

Animashaun also advised the students to also to focus on their studies.
